Obituary of Kathleen Shilton

Surrounded by her loving family, Kathy passed peacefully into God's embrace at Princess Margaret Hospital on Monday, December 15th, 2008. Beloved daughter of Jean and the late Rev. James F. Shilton. Cherished sister of Elizabeth (David), Paul (Barb), Carolyn (Mariette), David (Michelle) and Don (Carolyn). Kathy will be fondly remembered by her nine nieces & nephews: Graeme, Christina, Elizabeth, Lauren, Christopher, Emily, Julia, James and Heather as well as her many friends, the countless children and families she cared for while nursing at The Hospital for Sick Children and the many nurses she taught at George Brown College. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17th. The funeral service will be held at PARKWOOD UNITED CHURCH, (85 Parkwoods Village Drive, Don Mills) on Thursday, December 18th at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Alliston Union Cemetery on Friday, December 19th at 11:00 a.m., to be followed by a reception at Shilton Hall, St. John's United Church in Alliston.
