I knew Kathleen in high school at Banting. She was a warm, caring individual. Blessings to you all.

I was so sorry to read of Kathleen's death in the Globe. I remember helping entertain her in Wolseley when she was a little girl called Pookie and Jean was busy with baby Elizabeth. That Christmas I gave her a little doll with accessories. I wanted it for myself but was too old for it at twelve. Jean said the doll kept shedding her minuscule shoes and she spent the whole day finding them and putting them back on. Kathleen grew into a woman with a fine career and must have influenced many people. My sympathy to you, Jean, and all the family. Lynne Murphy nee Warner

Hello Mrs. Shilton & Kathleen's siblings. I was very sad to read Kathleen's death notice in the Alliston Herald on Wed. afternoon. I remember playing with Elizabeth many times when you lived in Alliston and I noticed then that Kathleen was immersed in her studies and that she seemed to me very dedicated and determined to continue her learning at higher levels of education. I was so pleased that when I viewed her nursing cameo that she looked just like I remembered her from her high school days.I am so glad that she was able to touch so many lives and families at Sick Kids Hospital and through her teaching at George Brown college. Even though we have not kept in touch I am saddened at your dear loss of Kathleen and I will keep her and your family's intentions in my heart. I will see you tomorrow in Alliston and hope to touch base with Elizabeth & Paul and hopefully your mother.

Mrs. Shilton and family:It was shocking to read Kathy's death notice today. Along with Nancy Anderson Nelson I felt very sad to have lost an old friend from "sixth floor Marg Add".Kathy and I spoke of getting together in Stratford sometime since we live close by as does one of the Shilton clan.Unfortunately we didn't follow up. Take good care of yourselves and each other as you work through your grief.Sincerely,Barb and Clare Hood

Dear Aunt Jean, Liz, Paul, Carolyn, David, and Don and all of your families; Mom called us yesterday with the news of Kathy's passing. While we are 1,000's of Km's away, know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. While I am saddened by her death, it helps me to remember the wonderful times we shared; at the Big Bay cottage, at Auntie Ann's Boxing Day reunions, and recently at the Five Oaks reunions. To me, Kathy was always the quiet "rock" in our family - steady and sure. We're very sorry we cannot be there with you tomorrow as you celebrate Kathy's life, but we will be there in spirit. Peter and Heather Grand Forks, BC

Mrs.Shilton and family: I was saddened to read Kathy's death notice this morning. She was one of my best friends at Victoria College and I have many good memories of living on 6th floor Margaret Addison with her. Realizing that 2009 marks the 40th anniversary of our graduation, I had hoped to see Kathy and I am so sorry that won't happen. Each year I looked forward to her Christmas card in which she always included news of all of you. Although we will not be able to attend the visitation or service, my husband (who did meet Kathy) joins me in sending our sincere condolences.
