Obituary of Joanne Donoahue

Jody Donoahue(née Feheley) Jody died suddenly but peacefully at home in Toronto on Thursday, May 12th with Jim, her loving husband of over 30 years, at her side. She leaves her devoted daughter Ashlynne Dale, beloved grandson Iain Quayle, two sisters Sylvia (Brian Danter) and Patricia (Paul Costello) and many nieces and nephews. She will also be mourned by her stepchildren Zoe (Scott Lennie), Colin and Noah. Jody was predeceased by her brother Michael (Ursula Feheley) last year.Jody, a graduate of the University of Toronto, forged a life in business at a time when, to do so as a woman, meant breaking new ground. Initially she worked in the book publishing industry and, for the last 30 years, as a successful real estate broker. Endowed with a sharp and analytical mind, a passion for current events, a remarkable memory and a quick wit, Jody relished exchanging and debating ideas with others, generally with a healthy dash of humour. Jody enjoyed a life-long passion for travel, a passion she shared with her husband Jim. She will be remembered fondly by those closest to her as a caring, loyal and supportive friend, confidante and advisor. There will be a celebration of Jody's life on Friday, May 20th between 12:00 and 3:00 at Feheley Fine Arts, 65 George Street, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jody's charity of choice, the Cancer Society, would be gratefully appreciated. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymilesnewbigging.com.
