Obituary of Patricia O'Brien

O'BRIEN, Patricia AnneIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister, aunt, great aunt and friend. On Saturday, November 29th, 2008 Pat passed away peacefully surrounded by her family following a brief and sudden illness. Beloved sister of Dr. Stephen Edward (Ted) O'Brien. Predeceased by her parents, Dr. Stephen H. O'Brien and Marion O'Brien and her sisters Frances Marck and Mollie Callaghan. Pat will be lovingly remembered by her nephews and nieces. She was a cherished friend of many. Pat lived an active and purposeful life. She enjoyed a successful career as a Social Worker dedicated to the betterment of child welfare in Ontario. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Community at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. She volunteered her time and energy to many charitable organizations. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3rd. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, December 4th at OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP CATHOLIC CHURCH, 78 Clifton Road, Toronto. A private interment will take place at Holy Sepculchre Catholic Cemetery, Hamilton at a later date. If desired, donations can be made to Catholic Family Services of Toronto, 1155 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario, M4T 1W2 or Churches-on-the-Hill Food Bank, 230 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario, M4V 1R5.
