My sympathy to Pat's family and friends who have lost her very suddenly. Pat and I worked together in the adoption field for several years. We met again at the 50th Anniversary of the Adoption Resource Exchange over a year ago and shared memories and much laughter about our experiences in government. I will miss her sardonic sense of humour.

My deepest sympathy to you all on the loss of your sister Patricia or Pat as we called her. She will be sadly missed in the Parish where I knew her from. She was a wonderful lady. Pat was involved in our craft group and I helped her with her knitting problems. May she Rest.

We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family and friends over the loss of our Aunt Pat. We share your sadness and regret that we cannot be there with you. I appreciate the closeness and sense of family that the Callaghan’s gave her and that she was always there when you needed her. Aunt Pat used to generally keep her distance from us as kids, which is no wonder with nine rambunctious nephews (and one niece) terrorizing Grandpas house or at Southhampton. One of my fondest memories of her is the trip she made with my mom to visit us in the Yukon. Two spirited city women on their own in the wilds of the Canadian north. We even had them wearing gum boots, carrying backpacks and peeling logs for our cabin building. For a city girl, Aunt Pat somehow seemed at home in the bush, but I guess that shows what a strong, independent woman she was. We will miss her greatly and remember her fondly. Sincerely, Peter, Jan, LeeAnne, Hayden and Colin O'Brien

Please accept our warmest and sincerest sympathy on Pat's sudden passing. It was wonderful to see her along with all of our colleagues at St. Pat's reunion in Montebello in the fall of 2007. Her sparkling smile, her warmth and her genuineness will always be remembered. Eternal rest upon her soul and may the perpetual light always shine upon her. Sent with love and prayers.
