I met Gert through line dancing and was always so impressed by her friendly attitude and her enjoyment of this activity. She always made you feel special and was interested in your activities as well as her own.She loved the music and even when she could not dance so easily in the last few years she just made the best of the situation. I will think of her being free to continue to enjoy herself! We miss her at the classes. I am very sorry that I was unable to attend the services for her but wanted to send a tribute about this wonderful lady.

John, Joyce, Bill, Ingred and family. I was sorry to read about the passing of your mother, but her name brought back so many memories of Hesketh Court. From the year we moved into our new homes with all the mud to the street parties that brought the families together. I will always remember the times that the Shergold family came from Kingston. The Cronins of Lankin Blvd. always went to your house to visit and then over to see mom and dad. Also there were the Christmas Eve parties where Uncle Art became part of the street family. My last contact with your mom was at my mother's funeral nine years ago. She was so full of life and living every moment to the fullest. May you always carry wonderful memories of your mother - they can't be taken away and may time and the Spirit of healing fill the emptiness in your hearts. Marilyn Benning/Stewart formerly of 8 Hesketh Court.

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Gert. I knew Gert through my mother (Mardi Raymond). They were condo friends for many years. Gert was always very kind to my mother. I would often find them drinking tea together in the late afternoon. I saw Gert a few weeks ago when I had gone to pick up my mother's mail, a memory I will cherish, she was her usual cheery, positive self and off to have dinner with her beloved niece. On behalf of my mother and my family please accept our condolences and know we are thinking of Gert. Susan, Paul and Gillian Stewart

I would like to send my condolences to the whole Hollett family....especially, Bill ( Senior ), Bill ( Junior ), and of course Tim... I am very sorry about your loss, but at the same time, I know you've learned alot from Girtrude, because 91 years is a very long time to live, and so much to tell about the changes with-in Toronto, from her eyes and experiences. Take all the positive things she has taught you and manifest it in your own lives.. and just maybe you'll be able to live for 91 years!... wow...take care guys, and once again, my condolences..
