Marilyn McIntosh (deceased friend Bill McIntosh) posted a condolence
Sunday, November 9, 2008
I am deeply saddened to learn of John's passing. John and I met at our home in Green Briar near Alliston when he would visit with my now deceased husband, BILL McINTOSH. John would come for lunch and I had the pleasure of listening to John and Bill tell their stories of the past with many, many laughs by all. John and Bill were longtime friends who curled (Canada Life Curling Trophy), golfed and shared many happy times together not only as two guys but also with their wives, Barbara and Marion. When Barbara passed, Bill was very sick and could not attend her Memorial. He was so upset. Little did we know that Bill would enter into Heaven a couple of months later. The last time I saw John was at Bill's Memorial at the Nottawasaga Inn, Sept. 2007. John and Bill often phoned one another early in the morning to see how each other were feeling. When life was good, Bill would drive to Toronto and they, along with a couple of other good friends would have lunch together mostly at the Thornhill Golf and Country Club. Bill always came home so upbeat from these lunches. There is a lot of history at this club for John, Bill, their wives and many, many friends. I'm very certain there is a party going on in Heaven for our loved ones who are now together again. My sincere condolences to family and always remember "MEMORIES ARE FOREVER". We all need them at times. I do have one question; did John ever get to climb the mountain? I hope someone will send the answer as Bill and I were in "AWE". Sincerely, Marilyn McIntosh (Miller)
