Obituary of Benjamin Salvarinas

SALVARINAS, Benjamin James (1968-2007) It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ben Salvarinas. Beloved son of Dimitrios (Jim) and the late Voulie Salvarinas, brother to Kathy & Sebastian Pelaia and Mary & John Salvarinas, and uncle to Evelyn, Elisa, Nicholas and James, he will always be the best thing that ever happened to his wife Jennifer Poole and much adored by her family of Robin, Mary, Luci, Jonathan, Alana and Wilfrid. A man of many talents, he was a lawyer, businessman, artist and builder, flashing his trademark grin wherever his next project took him. Rich in friends from California to Cambridge, U.K., he was our prince, our ringleader, our visionary and our heart, gone too soon and never to be replaced. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15th and from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m on Thursday, August 16th. A funeral service will take place in ST. NICHOLAS GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 3840 Finch Avenue East in Scarborough on Friday August 17th at 11 a.m. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the Granite Club, 2350 Bayview Avenue from 1-3 p.m.
