Obituary of John Gooderham

GOODERHAM, John Henry Stuart On Monday, October 20, John died suddenly at home due to a fall. He is mourned by many friends, neighbours, colleagues, students, and especially his family who loved him dearly. He will be missed. A beloved and respected uncle, brother, and friend. John was the son of Colonel Melville Stuart Gooderham and Elsie Billes Gooderham, brother of Melville Edward Warren Gooderham, and devoted husband of Jacqueline Rew Gooderham. John is survived by his nephew, Geoff Gooderham, nieces, Christine Abougoush and Rosalind Gooderham, great-nephews and great-nieces, Andrew and Christopher Gooderham, Ryan and Callie Abougoush, Carly and Sophie Jederman, and by his sister-in-law, Margaret Elizabeth Gooderham, Barbara Larson, Doris Storesund, and Laverne Harden. A respected and well-loved science and math teacher, John taught at Leaside High School for most of his career. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) on Thursday, October 30 from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
