John was my physics teacher at Leaside High in 1980 and again in 1982. He was an excellent teacher and I think his teaching had some impact on me and my scientific way of thinking. This eventually lead to my becoming a computer software developer. He was a great guy and I'll always remember him, as I'm sure will lots of his former Leaside students. I'm sorry I could not attend the visiting at Humphrey's.

My cousin John was to me, larger than life. As small children we played together in the sandbox at the cottage. John's smile was contagious I often wondered what little mischievous act might shortly follow that twinkling glance. John attended a private high school outside Toronto but never forgot his little cousin, once even arranging a blind date to the college formal with his friend Christopher for me. After marriage we seldom saw each other. Yet still often think of John and his fair lady, Jacqueline. They were a handsome pair. My sincere condolences to the family.

So often today something would happen and I'd think of how I couldn't wait to tell Uncle John about it. I always enjoyed our frequent chats and emails, discussing our furry little pets or our gardens. He was a charming man and a great friend and I will miss him terribly. There is some small consolation in knowing that he's now once again with his beloved Jackie. I miss them both.
