I am so sorry and sad to hear that Molly has passed. Although I only really saw Molly every Remembrance Day, she had a special place in my heart. I always looked forward to speaking with her. My thoughts are with her family.

To all the Haldenbys I read the Globe & Mail notice to my mother Katie and I reflected on what great times Molly & good old mom had together. I thought to myself, and realized as well the great times we all had together! Whether at the church, in the neighborhood, Mayfairs, Flushing Meadows, the BNR or in the waiting area at Sunnybrook. No matter where or what the circumstances, your mother was always warm, welcoming and supportive of endevours and lifestyles. Mom will miss Molly as she fast becomes the "orphan" of that great era, I and my siblings will miss Molly as well. You were blessed with a wonderful mom. David & Katie, Bob, Sarah

Rick, Rosemary and Margot: Cheryl and I want to pass along our condolences recognizing the passing of your Mother (Rick and Margot) and Mother-in-Law (Rosemary). We certainly hope her passing was peaceful in the end. While the passing of an aged parent can be somewhat expected, I think when both parents are gone it leaves such a void of family connections, family history and that huge unequaled web of knowledge. We hope you have time to reflect with family gathered, on your tremendous family and all of the happy times. We are thinking of you! Stephen + Cheryl

Dear Rick and family, How sad you must be to say good-bye to your mother. I met her at a University College event when I started working at U of T in 2007, and struck it off with her as soon as we figured out that Rick (whom I knew from Waterloo architecture school) was her son. She was delightful, and a spark. The first image that came to mind when i learned of her death today is a charming clip of Molly singing in a video that was compiled for a Whitney Hall reunion; her charm and personality were irrepressible. May you have the pleasure of remembering many such moments from your life with her. janet kim

To the Haldenby Family: Rosemarie and I offer our sincerest condolences on the passing of your mother. My mother Peggy Taylor was a long-time friend of Molly's and I believe that now they can resume their visits which my mother enjoyed so much. To me your mother was a person of dignity and grace - a truly charming woman and one of a kind. Our condolences Steve and Rosemarie Taylor

Molly was a wonderful and very gracious lady and she will be missed around the armouries and at our luncheons. She was regent of our 48th Highlanders IODE Chapter in 1964 and 1965 and was a faithful member for many years. She joined the Chapter March 15, 1951 and it was always a pleasure to see and talk to her at our Christmas and Birthday luncheons. Condolences on behalf of the Chapter to all of Molly's family.
