I knew Pat in high school. I never saw her again after that. But I didn't need to, in order to remember her with great fondness.
Pat was always smiling, always upbeat, always willing to help whenever asked. Pat was a person we knew would be successful in life, and we were right! 50 some odd years since I last saw her, and yet her passing saddens me. She had that kind of impact on me, and her fellow classmates.

Mrs. Lute was my nursery school teacher many years ago. I remember her generous spirit, calm demeanor and patience with a roomful of children. It was clear that she had a passion for teaching. I met her again later in life, where we discussed my job, education and where life had taken me since nursery school! She was genuine, and showed a keen interest in the path I had taken. She had such a positive impact on me during my first few years of schooling and she will be missed greatly by so many. I was so shocked to hear the sad news about Pat. It was only a few weeks ago, that we talked and laughed at the Carnation reunion.
