Obituary of Kathleen Lang
On the evening of Wednesday, November 25, Kathleen Helen Lang (nee Surphlis), beloved wife of the late Gordon S. Lang, passed away suddenly at Sunnybrook Hospital at age 89. She was a long-time resident of Toronto, Muskoka, and Atlantis, Florida. Survived by her brother James (Effie) Surphlis, her son Ian (Katherine) Moore, stepchildren Stuart (Kim) Lang, Sherry (François) Laveau, Don (Karen) Lang, and Barbara (Ian) Newlands. Adored by her grandchildren Gibran (Diana) Neiva, Jason Neiva, Jennifer (Jason) Zarnke, Andrew Moore and Julien, Nicolas and Daniel Laveau; Erin, Robyn, Tim and Trevor Lang; Wesley, Spencer, Harrison and Jordon Newlands, and her nephews Tim (Anita) Surphlis, Rick (Lisa) Surphlis, Terry Surphlis, and her nieces Annette (Ron) Foster, Cindy (Ken) Roy. Loved by her many great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Judith Neiva, brother and sister-in-law Charles and Evelyn Surphlis. The family would like to thank all medical and support workers who were a valuable part of Kathleen's care for the last few years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W.
