Obituary of Gilbert Adamson

ADAMSON, Gilbert ErcelPassed away peacefully Friday, September 26, 2008 with his family by his side after a brief stay at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Beloved husband of the late Gwen Adamson (Nee Hyndman). Loving father of Lyn and her husband, Tom Marshall, Rick and his wife, Helene, and Sue and her husband, Ray Siiskonen. Dear grandfather of Greg and Jennifer. Predeceased by his sisters, Norma and Jean. Gil started his career as a chemical engineer with General Electric and soon moved to Rohm and Haas Canada. After his retirement in 1977, Gil began a brand new venture, helping to start up and build the Jet Ice company, for whom he served as technical consultant until this past year. An accomplished jazz pianist, Gil Adamson will be fondly remembered for his wit and good humour. For all who knew him, Gil's passing means the party just got considerably more dull. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30th.
