He was a very strong supporter of Toronto's Adult Burn Centre and the Wellesley Hospital and the research activities of the division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto. He was an avid sportsman who had a passion for fly-fishing, duck hunting and golf. He hosted the best Grey Cup parties. Whether in Labrador, Scotland, his favourite bog or teaching his sons-in-law how to cast on the front lawn, he was happy to share his craft. An early member of the Osler Bluff Ski Club, he also spent many weekends leading his family down the slopes at Tremblant, often with a movie camera in hand. A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. GABRIEL'S CHURCH, 670 Sheppard Avenue East, North York , on Saturday, October 31st at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto or the F.A.
