It was with great sadness that I heard of Bob's passing this morning. I am sorry to have missed the viewing and Celebration of Life ceremony as I would have liked to see the family. Bob was and always will be a special person to me. We had wonderful long talks and I will always remember our morning golf matches with my dad. Bob was larger than life and I know there is a special place in heaven for a man like him. I feel honored to have known and spent time with him. My family's condolences and hearts are with you at this sad time. God Bless. Lou

Dear Borden family I want to offer my deepest condolences on the passing of Bob Borden. I knew Bob when I sang in the choir and was Youth Choir Director at St. John's York Mills Anglican Church several years ago. Bob always encouraged us as a youth choir, and as a Gospel choir. Boni Strang and myself had some great conversations with Bob and Jenny over the years! He will be missed by myself and my husband WIlliam Uhlman, who also got to know Bob whenever he attended! Lovely man, lovely personality. Always a smile and handshake! He appeared to love our gospel music! Take care Bob and I am sure we will meet again and speak again! Jennifer and Bill

To Michael and Laurie, Meg and Peter and Julie and Chris - and those many grand-children... Sending sincere sympathies on the death of your Dad/father-in-law/grandfather. You will not know me, but worked with Jenny at Manor Road Nursery School for several years, and she was mentor and inspiration to me. Through Jenny, David and I met your Dad at several parties for the nursery school, and we enjoyed his humour and his many stories of Muskoka and the Cayman islands. Dear friends: It was a pleasure for me (Sharon) to work near Bob and Linda at McLeod Young Weir; I can still hear his enthusiastic and knowledgeable conversations with his many long-time clients. John and I moved to Alberta in 1980, however we remained in touch with your parents, Bob and Jenny. You may remember that we spent Thanksgiving 2005 with all of you on Morris Island on our driving trip from Nova Scotia back to Alberta. We enjoyed a delicious meal at Michael and Laurie's beautiful home and Bob and Jenny gave us every comfort while staying with them on Morris. Both your parents were very intelligent and ambitious and they truly loved all of you. God Bless and we will never forget you nor your parents. Love, Sharon and John Elliott
