Dear Aunt Bev and dear cousins, I have nothing but great memories of Uncle Dave. He was the fun one, the rebel brother with a black Austin, then an MG (green, I think), then the Mercury Cougar. He was always young at heart, funny, worldly and encouraging when it came to others' dreams and adventures. He valued family and brought family together. And the finer things of life were something we should strive for. I still treasure the family tree he did for all of us, as well as shift in family culture he ushered in. Just learned of the awful news. Mr. DesLaurier was was second father to me growing up. He was a kind and generous man and our family will cherish the many warm memories of David. Deepest sympathies to Bev, John, Susan, Paul and Michael (and families). Love Luke and all the Avison family
