Obituary of Brian Hollingshead

HOLLINGSHEAD, Brian (August 5, 2015) It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Brian Hollingshead, brother to Neil and Ross, and son to Cleta and Cyrl. Brian was an avid outdoorsman throughout his life and especially enjoyed his sailing days skipping his sloop "Kaos" on Lake Ontario and his trips to his cottage on Lake Lorimer. In his prime, Brian was known for not only his competitive spirit, but also a keen sense of mentoring others in the activities he loved, be it camping, captaining his select ice hockey teams in Leaside as part of a city wide league or sailing as part of Ashbridge's Bay yacht club. These skills served him and others well and he gained admiration and respect from his team leadership. He graduated in a specialty of computer programming at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11th.
