I was shocked and saddened to hear of Brian's passing, and I am sending condolences to Neil and Ross. I had not seen Brian for several years, but I have many fond memories of times spent together with Brian and the good friends that I met through Brian.

Ross, Neil and family; On behalf our mother, Joan, my sister Beverley (Govan) and myself, please accept our sincere condolences. As our next door neighbour, on Rykert Cres. , we grew up with the Hollingshead brothers. Ball hockey, football, baseball , it seemed there were no sports that Brian couldn't play .... well . He was a nice guy and a great neighbour.

My condolences to Brian's family. Brian was one of the first sailors I met when I moved to Toronto. I too had the privilege to race with him as part of his all women crew and will always have found memories of those races. He was also generous and patient to allow me to use his boat for spinnaker training...thank you Brian, you will be remembered and missed.

Condolences to the family. I was a Ryerson friend, and therefore known Bryan for many years. I am shocked to learn of his passing.

My sincere condolences to Brian's family. Brian was an amazing mentor to many new sailors at ABYC. I had the privilege to race with him for many years (part of his all women crew!). We had many adventures out on the race course! Brian was a great friend and will be truly missed and remembered. Colin and I enjoyed a trip to Cuba together with Brian a few years ago and had so much fun. Barb Baniuk and Colin Andrews

Brian was a true friend at ABYC. He always had time to stop and talk about anything and had a wide range of topics on which he was knowledgeable and was willing to share with others. I rarely raced with him but heard all his escapades with his preference for a female crew. He was also an excellent bridge player and was the person that I preferred to play with over all. He will be sorely missed.

Our sincere condolences go out to Ross and Neil and family. I have fond memories of our group gatherings at Brian's cottage where we sailed ,swam and brought the h'deuvres out to the raft by canoe. We all enjoyed Brian's company at Lorie's farm,Lori and Hugo's schoolhouse and Louis' and Chuck's cottages and at Nancy's place in Kitchener, having fun in the great outdoors. I raced with Brian at ABYC on Southwind and Kaos and respected his abilities and competiveness. He will be sadly missed but in our thoughts forever....Lynda
