Obituary of Richard Costley-White

RICHARD A. COSTLEY-WHITE Richard Costley-White died peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at age 48, almost one year after he was diagnosed with Central Nervous System Lymphoma. Richard is the son of Peter G. White of Charlotte, North Carolina and the late Martha G. Blackburn of London, Ontario. Richard is survived by his wife Caitlin, sons Nathaniel and Jeremy, father Peter, sisters Sarah and Annabelle, stepmother Faye and stepsisters Brooke and Devon. Richard was a graduate of St. Andrew's College and holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Richard was the Chairman and CEO of Blackburn Radio Inc. Richard served as the Director of the Ontario Association of Broadcasters. He was the President of the Walter J. Blackburn Foundation based in London Ontario. He acted as a Director of the York Club of Toronto and served on the board and campaign cabinet of the London Health Sciences Foundation. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the St. Andrew's College Foundation, the John P. Roberts Research Institute Council and the Royal Patron's Circle Committee of the Royal Ontario Museum Board of Governors. In 2006, Richard joined the Board of Governors of the Stratford Festival where he chaired the marketing and communications committee and the nominating committee before retiring in 2013. Richard's family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the exceptional love and support of many friends, extended family and professional health care providers through the duration of his illness.
