Obituary of Eric Gordon Davidson

DAVIDSON, Gord Died peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in Toronto, after a brief illness. Born Eric Gordon Davidson on October 4, 1929 in Montreal, son of the late Eric and Edna Davidson. Married to the late Joan (nee Ashton) on September 13, 1952 in Blenheim, Ontario. He was the father of Lee, Kim (Gayle Wilmot) and Jay, and grandfather of Kirby, Lisa and Chili. Brother of the late Joe Davidson. Gord graduated from London South Collegiate and received a Bachelor of Arts, Honours Business Administration, University of Western Ontario, 1951. He was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity and played on both the football and basketball teams at Western. An ardent traditional jazz fan and supporter, Gord belonged to several jazz clubs and was among the co-founders of The Grand International Ragtime-Jazztime Foundation. The family have said their private goodbyes. Cremation has taken place and future interment will be in Gosnell's Cemetery, Highgate, Ontario.
