Obituary of Elizabeth Heenan Varga

ELIZABETH HEENAN VARGA Elizabeth Heenan Varga passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital with her family by her side, following a courageous and lengthy battle against pancreatic cancer on May 29, 2015, age 59. Liz is survived by her husband Frank, her children Greg (Jen), Lauryn (Rich), Kayla (Jesse), her beautiful grandchildren Tevin and Sophie, her stepsons Chris and Frank and siblings Donny, Paul, Ann, Mary and Joan. Liz is predeceased by her parents Warren and Ann Heenan and her brother Warren. Liz loved spending time with her children and grandchildren; she had a passion for travel with her husband Frank and cherished her time spent in Muskoka with family and friends. Liz left an indelible impression on everyone she met, she loved to laugh, had a natural instinct to care for others, a gift to light up any room at any time and a sharp and curious mind, even during her final days. A special thanks to her core support team who was with her every step of the way. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Ave. (south of Davisville Ave.) from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. A funeral will be celebrated in TIMOTHY EATON MEMORIAL CHURCH, 230 St. Clair Ave. W. on Wednesday, June 3 at 11 o'clock. Interment at York Cemetery, Thursday, June 4, for family and those wishing to attend.
