Liz was my longest friend (not oldest :-) as she was quick to point out). I remember that she was always the first person to write on tribute pages like this one. She was the first person to arrive at the visitation when Michael's father died. I am sorry I could not attend her funeral or visitation but I wanted to do this tribute to such a gentle person and good friend. Love Sheila

My heart is with Liz's family and friends during this difficult time. Liz was such a force of nature; a strong person, a warm hearted friend, a caring sister, a devoted mother and grandmother. I will always remember her at Mary and Grant's cottage, relaxed and laughing, and inviting everyone to have a drink, eat, and enjoy life. Liz left us too soon. I wish I had had more opportunity to see her and talk with her. But even though her time with us was short, she touched so many lives, and made an impact on many. You will truly be missed, Liz.

Liz has been my consistent long time friend for more than 40 years. She was always happy to see you with her lovely smile and bright eyes, beaming. Having seen friends and family today it showed how much she meant to so many people. She was loved by everyone and always humoured everyone. I will miss her so very much. To the Varga and Heenan clan, so sorry for the loss of your dear wife, mother,sister and great friend. I grew up knowing Liz as one of my sister Mary's great friends, from the old OLPH parish back in the 1970's and remember her fondly. Liz was so outgoing and engaging and her smile was so inclusive , you new you were with someone special. She was a great friend to my buddies Hugh Canning and Tony Griffin both of whom will make a special place at their watering hole in Heaven for her. I last saw Lizzie at my brother Rick's funeral in November 2014 and she looked great and lit up the room with her infectious smile and personality.
