I first met Glenda when we both attended our first Social Work Rgistrars meeting in Fredericton in 2000. We had each just been appointed to our positions as Registrars of the Colleges of Social Work in our respective provinces and were feeling not only excited, but somewhat daunted, by the challenges we faced. Having Glenda as a colleague who was open, supportive, caring, and humorous was a critical aspect of this group over the years and I benefitted greatly from her friendship and collegiality. She provided excellent leadership, analysis, professionalism and commitment to the social work regulatory community over the years. Living across the country meant our contact was limited to annual meetings and numerous telephone conferences for different projects and not a lot of time for hanging out as friends, but nonetheless Glenda regailed us with stories of her wonderful family whom she loved greatly. So, raise a glass of pinot grigio to Glenda. I am saddened by her loss and will miss her greatly. Susan Irwin former Registrar, BCCSW

I knew Glenda in High School at Senator O'Connor in Toronto, and although we did not stay in touch after that time, as a Social Worker, I followed Glenda's career as an MSW and more latterly as the Registrar of our College. I have fond memories of her humour, her kindness - and above all, her dedication to our professional body. With sympathy and kind thoughts to her family and friends, Anne Hartford
