Obituary of William Allen
ALLEN, William P.G. (Bill)
Bill died peacefully in the afternoon of Thursday, April 30, 2015, after suffering from progressive supranuclear palsy.
Wonderful Bill leaves behind his children, Jacquie, Carol, Tom, John, and Bill Jr., his eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, but their love continues. Bill greatly missed Doris, who died in 2008, after fifty-three years of joyous marriage. Predeceased by his older brother Fred (who died in 1944) and John (who died in 2001), and his parents John (Jack) Allen and Helen Allen. Dear brother of Jean and David. Bill practiced as a lawyer in Toronto for over fifty years, at first with his father Jack and, most recently, with his son John. Bill obtained a Masters of Law. He was the 2004 recipient of the Ontario Bar Association's Award of Excellence for exceptional lifetime contributions and achievements in trusts and estates law. Many have reminded us how kind and gentle he was.
Special thanks to his personal caregivers, and the nurses and staff at Leisureworld O'Conner Court Nursing Home where Bill received kind and loving care.
A visitation will be held at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, with a service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception.
