Dear Family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathies on the loss of your beloved Dad, Arthur. My condolences to you and your family on the passing of your Dad. It is never easy to lose parents, no matter your age. I pray for your peace and comfort as you continue your life journey without your parent's earthly presence.
Before I came to Canada I had an image of what a British gentleman looks like, and that image finds real expression in Arthur Wilby, my choir mate from St.Paul's Bloor Street Anglican Church. Arthur was a Man of principles, polite, decent and known for his courteous conduct. I felt always very welcomed by him. I wished I had sung longer with him in a choir but he was the one who hold the comfort of other people above his own! For sure he was the one who put more into my world than he took out of mine.
Arthur was a special person, who did not take an undue advantage of his power or the weaknesses of those around him. He was a man who did not compel others to do anything against their wish. A gentleman, who never offended others physically or mentally, never inflicted pain. He was a thoughtful and had foresight. His wisdom helped him stay away from blunders. He was merciful and tender. He could keep his cool in all types of situations. When I said condolences after Gloria his wife's death he seemed to take care more of me than him.
He understood that certain things in life are inevitable. He accepted death as a part of destiny. He adhered to righteousness throughout life. No matter what the situation was, Arthur was the one who stood tall, and stood true to his opinions, a fighter for the cause of right with words, not guns.
I admired Arthur for his strength of character, his faith, humbleness, prudence, calm, patience and his principles. Once he told me: "Never let a woman wait… For anything!" and he kept this principle until the end of his earthly life.
I will continue to be inspired by the actions he took and the things he said while he was alive. He will live in my memories.
Truly Yours,
Tomasz Musial

Dear Pam and Kristen; It's been a very sad week since I heard of your father’s passing. Your Mom and Dad were a wonderful couple and good friends to us and always took an interest in what you were talking to them about. We will never forget the wonderful trip to Switzerland we had and how they both looked after us so well. My thoughts and prays will be with you both. Sincerely Barbara Cameron

I can still see this dear man sitting in his wheelchair 5 weeks ago, bravely recounting his life with his precious wife Gloria. Later at the reception, he greeted everyone with a bravado that was truly amazing!! Knowing the state of his own health at that time, I watched in awe at his determination--tenaciously persisting till the last person had hugged him, conveyed their condolences, and comforted him. He has been a precious friend over many years, and my family and I grieve with Pamela and Kristen and their families, at the loss of this loving, caring, and dynamic man.

So sorry to read about Arthur's passing. Both Arthur and Gloria sang in my choir at St. Thomas', St. Catharines, and I got to know them quite well. I wrote your dad when Gloria died, and said "she always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye". Well, your dad was the one with the wicked sense of humour!! They were both good choristers and great supporters of mine, and we kept in touch when they moved back to Toronto ... I shall miss them both. My deepest sympathies to you all.
