We did Sasha's garden and she made it one of the places everyone wanted to work in. There was an atmosphere she created that was calm and working near her was such a pleasure. She would try new things without complaining if they didn't work. She was as wonderful and caring a gardener as she was a person. Will miss here so much. Marjorie, Lee, Duncan and Monique

It is with great sadness and disbelief that I write this. Our deepest condolences to Sasha's family as she will remain forever in our hearts. I wanted to share a few memories that will always remind me of Sasha. Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge over troubled waters"' , Fondues, Escargot, Chianti, and Adventure. Another is King Henry dinner parties where everyone shared one knife and ate with their fingers "messy but lots of fun and laughs". The Rocky Horror picture show. A candle lit Thai dinner were everyone sat on cushions at a low table in the garden. A first for everyone to experience Thai food. Sasha was always a step ahead and had a great sense of style. A visit to a Vidal Sassoon salon shocked many at the time, but soon her style was a must have. Two years ago we re-connected and Sasha shared with us how proud she was of her husband Tony and their children Madeleine and Alex, I was so happy for her and her family. Sasha was accomplished, professional, talented and caring. One of my most cherished memories is to once again experienced her smile and to have laughed as we shared many stories and memories. Sasha's family and friends were all part of her beautiful garden of life.

Dear Maddy, Tony, and Alex, Not a day has gone by without you three on my mind and in my prayers since I saw Maddy's beautiful tribute to her (& Alex's, too) beloved mom and your precious wife. I was devastated to hear this and I can only imagine how difficult this is for all of you. What a beautiful family and I'm remembering how much Sasha loved you all and how proud she was of her family. I can hear her gentle voice -- she always brought kindness and love to any situation, as well as a huge amount of dignity. Please know we are thinking about you and sending love and hugs. xAnn (& Errol, too)

Sasha you were a ray of sunshine in so many peoples lives. I will treasure the memories I have of our time together both at PWA and the bike rally. Every time I prepare one of the dishes you gave me the recipe for, there will be a place at my table for you. Much Love. RIP my friend.

We've had the pleasure of knowing Tony and Sasha for 15+ years and been fortunate enough to enjoy some wonderful times together. We bonded with Sasha over our shared love of food! Sasha was an amazing cook and we were always thrilled to be invited over for dinner to experience her wonderful meals and and hospitality.
It was also because of Sasha that Nick first participated in The Friends for Life Bike Rally in 2007. If it weren't for Sasha's encouragement and telling him that he would be able to do it, he would have missed out on participating in this incredible experience. For this, he will always be grateful to her.
The thing we will remember most about Sasha though is her wonderful smile. We've been looking over photos that we took with Sasha and Tony at various events throughout the years and you can't help but smile when you see her smiling back at you with that twinkle in her eye. It is how we will always remember her.
Sasha we will miss you, but you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Love,
Rob Bristow & Nick Foglia

Dear Tony, Alex and Maddy, I am so sorry to hear about Sasha. You must be heartbroken. She was an amazing woman who I remember most fondly from my CCOC days. You are a dear family who have made a mark on all who have come in contact with you and Sasha was at the centre, I know. I hope that your memories, your family and friends help you as you celebrate her wonderful life. Warmly, Nancy Handrigan

Sasha was my neighbour. Every memory I have of her is warm and loving. She once told me she got a lot of enjoyment out of watching my three children run about in the morning and after school, and I hope that brought many smiles to her face :) She gave me wonderful advice on how to raise strong and happy children, by allowing their true natures to shine. I will miss the precence of my beautiful neighbour, as will everyone on this street.
