Obituary of William James Taylor
TAYLOR, William James
(1934 - 2015)
Jim died peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in the presence of his family. He had suffered from throat cancer for at least five months. Jim leaves his family to mourn: Margaret (nee Strachan); Douglas, Bruce (Heather), Graham (Diane); and his beloved grandchildren Nicole, Matthew and Joshua. His sister Joan Hannah and his brother Ken (Joan Towers) also survive him. His life vocation was in the financial world of mortgages, but he always returned to the water and the family heritage of boat building. He was a Life Member of the RCYC (a lawn bowler), a member of Leaside Rotary, a staunch supporter and board member of Mission to Seafarers Southern Ontario, and a fabulous Skipper of The Shellback Club. The family will receive friends in GLENVIEW PREBYTERIAN CHURCH, 1 Glenview Avenue on Tuesday, February 17 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. No flowers please. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymilesnewbigging.com.
