Obituary of Stewart Davidson

DAVIDSON, Stewart David Suddenly, after a brief illness at North York General Hospital on Sunday, February 8, 2015. Beloved husband of Susan. Cherished father of Fiona. Stewart will be sadly missed by his sister Joan Davidson of New Zealand, brother- in-law Karl Riddiough (Donna), nephew Chris (Lani) Riddiough, niece Andrea (Jeremy Courtney), and many relatives and friends. Stewart was the President of the Board of Directors and past Treasurer of Tobias House Attendant Care Inc. Stewart had an extensive business and financial background encompassing a wide range of large and smaller organizations. A Chartered Accountant by profession, he was a vice president of GreenField Ethanol Inc, the largest specialty alcohol manufacturer in Canada. In the not-for-profit sector, Stewart has been associated with many organizations including Easter Seals Ontario (where he was Director and held numerous positions, including President), March of Dimes (former Director), Bridgepoint Health (former Director) and Banbury Programs - a recreational program for disabled teenagers (former Director and Past President). The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Friday, February, 16 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Service of Remembrance at 1:00 p.m. In Stewart's memory, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 55 St. Clair Avenue West, Suite 300, Toronto, M4V 2Y7 would be preferred by the family.
