O'GORMAN, SHELAGH FRANCES Loving mother of Dillon James and Shannon Mary Petrie, wife of Peter Douglas Petrie, all of Toronto, cherished aunt of Emily and Leah of New Jersey, Lucas, Gillis and Tristan of Toronto, Jenn and Kate Petrie and Sarah and Kevin Lewis all originally of St. Catharines.Compassionate and loyal friend to co-workers and those who came into her life. In particular, her family extends warm wishes to Barbara, Linda, Catherine, Bev, Gina, Bobbie, Lisa, Laurie, Julie and Lilly.Survived by Uncle Pat of Sudbury, Aunts Lorraine Flynn of Hamilton and Kay Jones of Ottawa, her brothers Lawrence in New Jersey and Matthew in Toronto, cousins Louise of Hamilton, Lynn, Danny and Maureen of Ottawa, Pat Jr., Kelly, Kerry and Rosemary and Heather all originally of Sudbury.Pre-deceased by her parents T.P. (Paul) O'Gorman and Mary (nee Flynn) in Toronto.Shelagh passed away on July 4, 2008 after a lengthy struggle with liver disease.Shelagh was a securities lawyer specializing in mutual funds for many years with CIBC, Scotia Capital, and Fidelity, following articles and as an associate in corporate law with Torys.Shelagh had a previous career as a social worker with the Catholic Children's Aid Society, worked as a researcher on The Shulman File for CITY TV, and prior to that enjoyed summers as an Air Canada flight attendant.Graduate of Windsor Law School (LL.B, Class of '85) and York University's Glendon College (Honours B.A. in English and Psychology, 1979).Kearney, Ontario holds a special place in Shelagh's heart. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9.
