Hi Paddy and Wendy, I was so sorry to read the notice that your dear dad had passed away. I had a few calls from him since your mom died and it was always nice to hear his jovial voice. I always will remember his big smile and helpful manner. I know my mom was always so happy to have Peg and Dunc next door. It was a reassurance for her that they were there, and she loved their company. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers....I still remember you moving into Ridge Drive (about 55 years ago). Your grandma would have you playing on the front lawn while your mom and dad were fixing things in the house. It would be nice to get together some day. You have my email so please be in touch when you can. Once again, I'm so sorry about your dad.

Wendy and Paddy, I was sorry to see the announcement of your Dad's passing. I remember him as a very kind man. The vision of him, his smile and smiling eyes stay with me to this day. Do I remember a pipe? I think so. I have great memories of the time spent at your place on Ridge. Your mom and dad were always welcoming. My condolences to you all. Lindsay

Dear Dunc's family, Our sincerest condolences to all of you at this sad time. We have lived in beloved Bond Head for 16 years and were delighted to have had Peggy and Dunc for wonderful neighbours. Many times he would walk by our Lilac Cottage and stop and talk about the neighbourhood and any building that was going on (which he supervised!). Dunc was always pleasant with a good sense of humour. He was one of the "Old Guard" in Bond Head and sadly now most are gone. He will be missed.

The lakefront at Bondhead, Newcastle will miss this incredible good friend. We will miss his laughter and kindness,. Aways available to help a friend in need to, to fix that something that has gone wrong in their cottage and then offer a cool dip in his pool afterwards. Fondnest memories from our boys is "pool time at Duncans" and once in a while catching Dunc skinny dipping!
Our smypathies go out to his special and caring daughters Paddy and Wendy and to their families

We have many happy memories of Dunc and Peg at Newcastle. Your parents helped anchor the great summer community at the Lake, both by being in the geographic middle and by their gift of friendship. Best wishes from our families as you celebrate a life well lived and mourn his death. Fondly, the Macdonnell/Loves.
