I was so sorry to hear of Gwen's passing and I wish to pass on my deepest sympathy to the Munro family. Bob and Gwen often entertained me in their home when I visited Toronto in the mid 1950's on sales trips to Toronto as sales manager for CJOB Winnipeg. Bob worked at Radio-TV Reps in those days with Arnold Stinson, Bob Quinn, Bill Smith, Dick Ring, Gord Ferris etc. And I knew Bob in his later years when he was with Stephens and Towndrow and Major Markets. I later moved to Toronto and worked for Standard Broadcasting and CFRB. Bob was a mentor to me in my early days and I have fond memories of both Bob and Gwen. Sincerely, Dick Moody

Dear Munro Family: I was sorry to read about your mom. I have not seen her in years, but I remember her from Montressor Drive and growing up with you guys. As soon as I saw her picture in the paper, I knew right away who she was without even seen her name. My condolences to all of you.

I was so sad to hear about your mom Gwen's passing, but I certainly do love the picture you have chosen of her. That is exactly the way I want to remember her. I still remember her and your dad walking together past my house, #44. She was always cheery and upbeat...so positive all the time. We always had long chats when we would both be outside. I know you have wonderful memories of a wonderful lady. I know I do. Thinking about all of you. Montressor was a wonderful life. How lucky we all were. Good luck always, Fagel Mitgang

Dear Laurie and family, Your mother was a friendly Montressor neighbour who set a good example by keeping fit with her regular walks. I fondly remember how she liked to stop to say hello, and on various occasions over the years observe how our kids were growing, make kind observations about our home and garden improvements, and chat about neighbourhood news. Please accept our condolences on her passing. Rudy Luukko and family

Dear Munro Family, We read the message in the Globe and you really captured the essence of your mom. We were the new kids on the block in 1970, so we had lots of time to get to know your mom. If Alex Rutka was the mayor of Montressor, your mom was definitely the deputy mayor. We miss her and I'm sure there will be wonderful memories to sustain all of you in the years to come. Fondly, Helen & Marvin Goldberg
