Hi Elizabeth, All of us here at 9 Boardwalk were so shocked and saddened to learn of your mother's sudden death. I remember visiting you both here and seeing your choices for your new condo, and sensing your excitement. Your mother invited me for dinner at The Hunt Club a couple of summers ago. It was one of the highlights of that summer when I was under a lot of stress because of my husband's illness. I loved every minute of our visit that night, in such a beautiful setting. I hope happy memories will help you through this sad time of loss. Thinking of you, Rosemary Leckie

Playing in a tennis match at York University many years ago, with Joan , in a very stiff wind -we were trailing badly . The opposition's husbands appeared on the scene and wanted to have lunch with their wives. After promising the men to be available in a few minutes Joan turned to me and said let's get to work here! So we struggled on and 1 hour and a half later we won the match with husbands no longer present. So typical of her spirit to give her all right up to the finishing wire.She was a terrific competitor in tennis, curling and all she did. I know we will miss this very special lady who always gave her best effort.My condolences to Michael and Elizabeth, Joan had a multitude of friends who will always remember her.
