Obituary of John Morra

J. Anthony Morra (1927-2014) We are heartbroken to announce that after a short battle with cancer, Tony Morra died peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Bridgepoint Health. Devoted husband of the late Josephine Morra. Cherished father of Bernadette (Jimmy Molloy), Janine (Warren McNaughton) and John (Liz Loach), and proud grandfather to Christopher, Matthew, Bianca, Giada and Leila. Fabulous, funny and inspiring brother, uncle and cousin to so many. Tony was thrilled to still be ballroom dancing at 87, but he was looking forward to many more years of fox trots and waltzes with his beloved partner Lina Cheung. Dad was a gentleman who made people feel good, whether he was tailoring their suits or entertaining them with his band. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 15. Funeral Mass to follow in BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH, 24 Cheritan Avenue at 11:00 a.m. Private interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bracebridge.
