We have fond memories of John, who was in our wedding party in 1947. He was a lot of fun and always had a funny story to tell. He once was checking in at the airport and asked the clerk if he could get a flight to China, but wanted his bags sent to British Columbia. The attendant told him, that that couldn't be done. John replied, " well you did that the last time I flew." He is truly missed. Love to his three daughters.

Marnie, Jane and families. Hard to believe that it's been a year since your dear Dad passed away. Just wanted to let you know that my wish for you is to move beyond grieving into peaceful acceptance. I was "J.T.'s" secretary for MANY years. It was a fantastic job! He had a wonderful repertoire of stories and I heard them all (most more than once). He also had a great memory for names and gave nicknames to people he really liked. Mine was "Bernephew". I also spent many hours flying with him in his beloved Juliet, Juliet, Sierra. I've known his daughters since they were very young. The sun rose and set on them and they had their dad "wrapped". To the entire Clement family - Grieving for each of us is different. Allow it to take its own course for you. It is always sad to lose our loved ones but you will forever have previous memories in your heart.

John was a wonderful friend and help to my years at the ODA. We have fond memories of work and play with John involved, especially hunting pheasants and enjoying the time together.

Before I entered my bid to become MPP for Simcoe Center in 1977 I had a conversational sit down with John. He was most gracious and frank with his advice. I crossed paths with him many times after enjoying his humour and advice. He will be missed by family and friends.
