Penny Shapiro was my favourite teacher at Clairlea Public School. Cathy Dunstan and I stayed with her daughter when we went to Ottawa for our Grade 8 class trip. I am sorry to have read that she passed but led a long and fulfilled life. My condolances Toby Parsons

Mrs. Shapiro was my grade 7 teacher at Clairlea P.S. My friend Toby & I were her class helpers. On our grade 8 Ottawa trip, daughter Janet roomed with us. Mrs. Shapiro was well-liked & a great teacher.She increased my interest in Science. I became a teacher due to the influence of her & my grade 8 teacher. She will be missed by her loved ones & remembered fondly by her former students.
