I first met Sven and Mary by happenstance while on a walk in Leaside. I stopped as did so many to look at their amazing garden. The next thing I knew I had been invited in for tea, and a wonderful afternoon of discussions about local history, and of course great details of their home and garden. Our casual friendship continued for many years. They were truly part of the fabric of Leaside and will be missed by many.
