Marianne, Brian used to come to sit with me in the various stages of his treatment not to find out about the rocky road of cancer care, but to check with me, as a then 19 year cancer-survivor's wife, how to best support you and the children in dealing with his illness and his treatment. The more I got to know him, the more I saw what a gentle person was behind all that huff and bluff and just how much he loved and cared about you and his family. Take time for yourselves to learn to adjust to his loss - it doesn't come easily. Annette Dukszta

Brian was one of the best people we've ever met. We were fortunate to be a client of Brian's, so as a client you'd expect some form of flattery. Brian was not that. He was a genuine friend who was honest and enthusiastic in dealing with all aspects of your relationship. I learned a lot from Brian, and although we only had known each other for 5 or 6 years, in the few times we met each year, we would fit in some honest updates and always a good time. Each conversation would always pick up from the last one, and Brian's comments would always be inciteful. Lisa could always count on Brian to be the perfect gentleman and dance up a storm while I was MCing the event. It was always great to share our enthusiam for great food and wine. Upon his death, Brian is teaching us another lesson; live every day to the fullest and laugh a lot...as he did. Our sincerest condolences to Marianne, Matthew, and Richard.

Dear Mariane and family, My heartfelt prayer goes out for you as you mourn the loss of Brian. There are so many good memories I have of working with Brian and how he enriched my life through our many conversations and common interest in collector cars.

I met Brian several times and have just come from the Spring luncheon at Butler's Pantry of his beloved Wombats Australian-Canadian fraternity of poor joke tellers. A very heartfelt tribute was paid to Brian by our President for Life, and we all raised a glass in his honour, which we figure is something he would have approved.
