Obituary of Auguste Bolté

Bolté, Auguste Armour, beloved husband of the late Diana (Becky) Roslyn (nee Beck) for 48 years, father of Sandra Anne Bolté and John Paul Auguste Bolté (Deedee) died on February 22, 2014 in his 88th year. Grandfather, known as Augen, to Stephen Amell (Cassandra), Andrea Rees (Kevin), Victoria and Zachary Bolté. Great-grandfather to Mavi Alexandra Jean Amell. Former senior human resources executive with Kodak Canada from which he retired in 1987. After undertaking Outplacement consulting work for several years he became a volunteer/writer with CESO (Canadian Executive Services Organization) in the Aboriginal Services division as a result of which he supported special studies in the history and issues of Canada's First Nations peoples at schools he and his family attended. Aug or Gus, as he was known, graduated from Upper Canada College in 1944, attended Trinity College at the University of Toronto and then worked as a reporter for the Toronto Globe and Mail before joining Kodak as editor of the employee magazine. He then became Assistant Advertising Manager responsible for TV advertising with the Ed Sullivan Show. After being involved with the Kodak exhibit at Expo '67 he moved into Industrial Relations where he remained until his retirement. A lifelong member of Grace Church On-the-Hill throughout his life where he was a past warden and a recipient in 2006 of the church's "Meritorious Service Award". A service will be held in GRACE CHURCH ON-THE-HILL, 300 Lonsdale Road, Toronto, on Saturday, March 1 at 2 o'clock.
