Dear Jocelyn & Bill: It was my very great pleasure to know Mr. Ross when I worked at Murray & Company many years ago. He was a kind, intelligent, moral and ethical man who strove to achieve a gentle gracefulness both within our offices and in the company's endeavours in the outside world. It is a testament to him that, although I worked with him decades ago, when I saw only the bolded headline of his simple obituary in today's newspaper, I knew exactly that there was only one Ian Ross, and given the fact that he passed from this world holding hands with his family, it must indeed have been he. May G-d keep you and save you from further sorrows, and please know that at least one tear has been shed for a very great man. Susan Watt-Hannah

Our condolences go out to Margaret, Jocelyn and Bill. As one of the "originals" on Durban Road the pictures of Ian heading off to work with Margaret waving goodbye from the door, or in later years Ian and Margaret walking up to Bloor were part of our lives for many years.
