I often think of Jamie when doing my CLDN "work", or assisting my sister who has disabilities. Jamie invited me to join the board, and was always encouraging and persistant in a gentle way. As a member of the Lake Scugog Stewards, he chatted with my husband Ivan about current and innovative farm practices, always interested in learning why we do what we do. We appreciate the contributions he made to our community, and the example and high standard he set for us. Jamie is remembered and missed. Louise, we keep you and your family in our prayers.

Dear family members and friends of Jamie, My name is John Rance. I first met Jamie in 1983 when I purchased his Grew 215 fishing boat. As destiny would have it, I would have something he would want to purchase many years later. That being his Big Green Egg, my partner and myself delivered his Egg and he embarked on a cooking journey. Jamie was a pleasure to visit, always funny and friendly, he was not at all reserved of reporting the qualities of our egg to friends and neighbours. Some would become egg owners. I had few conversations and visits with Jamie and will remember him. There is never a right time to have a loved one pass from this life, we would all wish for more time. Please except my condolences for your loss. I am sure happy memories shall prevail. God Bless! John Rance, The Egg Man. Big Green Egg Canada

Louise, our condolences on the death of Jamie. May you feel God's strong arms of comfort carry you through these sad days. Know that Jamie was a much-loved and respected man in this community. He shared his passion and his knowledge so generously, and he will be an example of selflessness for others to follow. We were blessed to have known him. God bless, Brenda and Ivan

Dear Louise. It is with a heavy heart that I pass along my sincere sympathy today. May you take comfort in knowing an Angel is watching over Jamie now. Jamie's quick wit and wonderful sense of humor brightened many a day for me at the restaurant. He was so passionate about the community and he never stopped giving. I am so thankful to have spent many an evening with Jamie and you when I had Crabby Joe's. It's not good by but simply so long for now. Take good care. Rick

Jamie, we shared so much. I sat in your office so many times planning things and just 'chewing the fat.' Basically, we shared the same vision for the Lake and the Stewards. We both valued each other's talents and learned from it.
I will miss you terribly. You were a great friend to my husband and I. Thank you so much Jamie, from the Stewards, from me, from the community and even from the environment and outdoors which you loved so deeply. Happy boating and hunting in the next world.
Barbara
