Bonnie, Jeffrey and family. I was so sad to read that Colin passed away, he was an amazing man and by memories still is! For me, he was a mentor and an inspiration. The world lost one of the best people I’ve ever met.

Colin West. The most powerful name I have ever heard. He helped start my parents family business in 1977 in Montreal,as our accountant at Hyde Houghton. I grew up with the business and in 1992 he strongly encouraged me to look after the books. He was always there to help. God Bless his patience and warm welcoming smile. I know my dad, Don Stafford welcomes Colin at Heaven's Gate, they were great buddies. Our deepest sympathies to the West family. This world has suffered a great loss with the passing of Colin. Colin had graciously offered to be our wedding chauffeur in June 1977 (he liked driving and had the perfect car!). He also made the arrangements so that we could have our reception at Centennial Hall in Beaconsfield. Just some of the many things he did that demonstrated his kindness and caring manner.

I had the privilege of working with Colin at Hyde Houghton. To this day, we was the best boss. I have always remembered him for his giving, honest and supportive manner. All of the memories created in that work place with its wonderful people are cherished. Having spent a few Gran Prix races as Colin's guest, it was always an experience driving back to Beaconsfield in his 500 series BMW. He really knew how to drive that machine. A good Scotch was always welcomed.
