I was indeed blessed to have you as a friend Glorybe and will treasure that friendship forever. Your presence is very much missed when the Famous Five (sadly, now Four) meet to update and reminisce over lunch. You touched our lives in your very special way and made us laugh. I have known Gloria since our early teaching days in Nova Scotia. I also rented an apartment from Gloria in 1994. Gloria and I shared many a cup of tea together, even by phone when both of us were too ill to write. We shared many stories, experiences, grief, and hope. You were in my thoughts regularly, Gloria, and I shall miss our friendship. My sympathies go out to your sisters and nephew/ Brenda

I remember so many fun trips with Gloria; Pennsylvaina, several trips to Mexico. She loved going down there with her family and friends. It was a wild ride across the Yucatan Peninsula to the other side that comes to mind this morning however. We had many laughs. We stayed one night in some sort of monastery which made us both chuckle. Another day we stopped at some crazy remote ranch and went thro' the rancher's kitchen down in this absolutely cavernous cenote. I believe we swam in it. Sure I would not do that now.
She will be missed .... she fought so valiantly these last eight years.

I taught with Gloria when she was principal of a rural NS school. She was an amazing force...full of creativity, very well-organized and a lot of fun. Despite her problems, she had a wonderful strength and perserverance. I will always remember that, as well as her sunny outlook and many kindnesses. Rest well, Gloria!

I met Gloria my first day of kindergarten and we went through the same schools together.After grad we lost touch but reunited at an RCI reunion....what a remarkable lady.Adversity only made her stronger.I am sorry to hear of her passing but she made the world a better place for those who crossed her path.
