Heartfelt condolences to the family. This will be a very difficult time but when I spoke to Dorothy at Hugh's funeral, all she really wanted was her husband back. Some couples simply need to be together (my parents died 5 weeks apart). We remember all the fun times and the laughs. They were a joy to be around. R-J & Humphrey Gilbert

Dear Barbara , Greetings and condolences from the distant past. I had intended to visit you at Humphreys after reading of your dad's passing , as he was such a fine man, and as we live nearby . As it happened, we were out of town late that day and returned home too late to drop in. I was so shocked to see your mum's notice in the paper this morning . We see so often that after one spouse passes, the other follows soon after. Though I haven't seen you since, when, early 1967 (?) I occasionally think of the fun we had in Europe so long ago. No doubt you are feeling sad to have lost both parents so close together, especially around Christmas. I will leave it there but if you'd like to chat, please contact me at this e-mail address.
