November 28, 1926 - March 4, 2018

Irene Fletcher died peacefully at age 91 with family members at her side. Irene lived a vibrant and independent life. She was a remarkable individual who worked fulltime for well over 60 years, retiring at age 84. She was a talented dressmaker, an avid walker, and held lifelong interests in fashion and current events. Irene was always happy to get together with family members or spend time chatting over the phone, discussing family history or the latest happenings on the political scene.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Joseph, her brothers David and Bill, her sisters Hazel, Florence and special Aunt Evelyne Pearl. Irene will be greatly missed by her surviving sibling, Margaret, and by her many nieces and nephews across Canada and the U.S. 

A funeral service will be held at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17^th followed by interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
