Obituary of Donald Fortune

FORTUNE, Donald McArthur April 11,1918 - January 10, 2012 Served in the Royal Canadian Air Force Passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in the Veteran's Program, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in his 93rd year. Beloved husband for 63 years of Lorraine Hill, father of Patty (Cliff Nordal) and Wendy (Robert Positano). Loving grandfather to Kirsty and Lindsey Nordal, and Jarred, Karli and Dorion Positano. As President of DM Fortune and Associates, Industrial Psychologists, Don served the needs of many clients worldwide. He loved his Muskoka retreat, spending time there with family and friends, where many cherished memories were created. He will be remembered for his terrific sense of humor, his kindness and his compassion towards anyone and everyone. In his final years he developed a wonderful bond with his incredible caregiver, Bernadeth Cariaso, to whom the family is deeply grateful. We also wish to thank the staff of Sunnybrook's Veterans Program for their kindness throughout his 8 year stay. Following cremation, a private service for family and close friends was held on Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
