What times Bill and I had thru' the years--As a coach he was my 1st World Medallist taking silver. He had great "dance knees" that gave him the flow that the world had not seen from North Americans.I was very proud to speak of the many stories we shared at his Hall Of Fame Induction with his 2 partners.Never forget you Bill--my sympathies to Jamie and his wife.

I will miss going to dinner with Bill during his several yearly visits for the past 25+ years. Bill was also a gracious host to friends for Christmas Boat Parades here on the Inter-coastal Waterway.

As a skating judging colleague of Bill and Past Chair of Skate Canada Central Ontario I wanted to send my condolences to Jamie, Cathy and the McLachlan family. We were delighted to have seen Bill at Canadians in Mississauga in February. It was fun to see how animated he was during the Senior Dance event and enjoy it with him. He left behind a legacy of excellence in COS and we will always appreciate his tremendous contribution. He will be sadly missed.

We will miss Bill's visits to Ft. Lauderdale. We enjoyed many evenings talking and sipping "vino" by the pool. Bill always spoke fondly of his family and his beloved cats, "puss puss" . He had a dry sense of humor and will always be one of my most memorable characters.

With deepest sympathy to Bills' brother Jamie and his wife Cathy and Children. I hope the good memories and times with Bill will be of comfort to you during this difficult time. I have known Bill since the late 1970s. We had been friends and I always looked forward to his seasonal visits to Ft. Lauderdale. We shaired many dinners, parties and gatherings down here throughout the years. Back in the 1990s I visited Bill up in Toronto and that weekend I went to the cabin with him and friends Bobby and Hans. In spite of the rainy weather we had a good time and Bill taught me how to play cribbage. I also have good memories of gettogethers at my house. While I am deeply saddened by his passing I know that his quality of life for the last few weeks was grave. I hope and pray that he is now in a better place free of mortal suffering.

I have fond memories of Bill as he judged me a number of times when I competed. I loved how he dressed; always so elegant. He was the "cool" judge and many of us remember his fabulous sports cars. RIP Bill knowing how well liked and admired you were to so many skaters.
