Obituary of Robert Cardwell

CARDWELL, Robert Edward Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, November 4, 2013, in his 74th year. Rob, beloved husband and best friend of Linda for 50 years. Cherished father of Gregory and Pinar Cardwell and Jill and Douglas Burtney. Adored Grampy of Kate and Drew Burtney and Alara and Siena Cardwell. Dear brother of Harry and Judy Cardwell and special brother-in-law of Wilson and Kathryn Kiel. Uncle Rob was well loved by his nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Doris Cardwell. Rob will be fondly remembered for his love of family and pets, his cottage in Minden, his wonderful sense of humour and brave spirit. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6. Service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7.
