To the Hall Family: I met your father when he was a practice teacher at Wellington St School in St Thomas when I was in Gr. 8. A few years later he was my home room Master and taught Social Studies at London Normal School. I met him again after I married and moved to Agincourt. My husband and I were shopping at Weal & Cullen and so was Ken. The last time I saw him was at our 50th London Normal School Anniversary in Oct 2002. Everyone of us remembered his smile and kindness to his students- a shining example for the teaching profession. I have fond memories of my student days in his classes. With deepest sympathy to you all.

We will always remember banging on the front door of the Hall's Bayview Heights home to see if Milne could come out and play road hockey. Mr. Hall perpetually seemed to answer the door. He was friendly, courteous but firm, especially when he told us that Milne couldn't come out because he hadn't completed his homework. He was a caring individual who took the time to know some of the kids in the neighbourhood and also took the time, if needed, to set them straight. He was a gem of a human being and that is how he'll be remembered. Our thoughts are with the family at this time.

Please accept my condolences for the loss of your father. I can recall many times when my parents enjoyed the company of your parents at events associated with Leaside Presbyterian Church. There were many parties at each others home and many great memories. May your memories of your father help you in this time of loss.

To the Hall Family - Although I never worked with your Father, as I arrived in East York as Director after he retired, I had the opportunity to witness the positive results of his efforts. When we met on many occasions, I recognized his devotion to East York schools and I loved his sense of humour. My thoughts are with you and I consider myself fortunate to have known Ken.
