Obituary of Loretta Flagler
Alice "Loretta" Flagler (nee Lawton)
Peacefully in her sleep at her residence at Seven Oaks, Scarborough on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the age of 97 years. Beloved wife of the late George 'Stan' Flagler. Survived by her brother James Lawton, his wife Elizabeth and their family. Lovingly remembered also by her sister-in-law Madeleine Flagler, niece Lynn, nephews Wilfred and Robert and their families.
An award-winning gardener and lawn bowler in Leaside where she resided for over 60 years, Loretta's many past-times included 5 pin bowling, travelling, bingo and playing a wide assortment of card games. She will forever be lovingly remembered by her friends and family for her easy going, spontaneous, fun-loving, adventurous spirit. Special thanks to her personal caregiver and the many dedicated, caring staff and volunteers from the 4th floor at Seven Oaks, for their compassionate care these past 7 years.
The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in ST. ANSELM'S CHURCH, 1 MacNaughton Road on Wednesday, October 30 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
